The PH has built-in Bluetooth—rather rare on a mobile projector—for connecting to an external Bluetooth speaker. A full-size remote lets you access Screen Share or Bluetooth, switch between TV channels, change input sources, and control many other functions.

The projector can be powered by a built-in rechargeable battery, which can get you through most normal-length movies; LG estimates it can last 2. The LG PW, which has a similar feature set, lacks a battery. Data image quality is above average.

The PH fared well in our text testing, with white text on black easily readable down to 7. Color balance was also very good. Video quality was strong for a portable projector of moderate brightness. I saw occasional rainbow artifacts—little red-green-blue streaks that typically appear in bright areas against dark backgrounds—but fewer than typical for an LED-based DLP projector.

Color balance was excellent, and colors were well saturated without being overly so. Frequently, colors from low-brightness LED projectors are oversaturated to the point of garishness.

Left in hotel room plugged in to wall charger, no PC etc was powered on, but there was an iPad off in the room. It would stay online all the time. Can someone recommend me a usb network card for one of these modems?

The MF60 is a WiFi device and is not associated or able to be used with any "usb network card" that I am aware of.. My Sister brought one on Sunday and see cant get it connected to her pc to use What does she need to make it run on her pc if that helps?

Her PC has no WiFi built in? I havnt personally used any of the WiFi dongles that you refer to but then again I havnt heard of any problems with any of them either. Any brand should work OK though.. As mentioned by another poster, maybe a USB mobile broadband modem may have been a better buy.

But maybe she wants to use WiFi for some reason.. Can u use a postpaid telstra mobile phone sim in these if you have a datapack with your phone? Anyone done this specifically? If so, what carrier did you use? Purchased an MF60 today, primarily to connect my notebook on the road and remotely control some stuff.

I have MNF Voip on my home network and a spare number at the moment so that might work? Is it just more network congestion where I am now? Is there a way to investigate this? Most likely is congestion. If you have a directional antenna you can try pointing it at a different tower.

Any ideas on the best deal to recarge the MF60? We got our 12 months out of it easy and still had some to spare so we recharged before it run out and now we are in front. My 3 months finished about 4 weeks ago. I mentioned it might be free as per some posts in Whirlpool.

He scanned the barcode from my original box and said it was free. Now that I have an unlock code, need to get another data SIM and check it out. Seems you have to disconnect from the network first manually.

Turn automatic connecting off and put it to manual and then disconnect from the network. Then go to the APN window and add your new details save them and set them as the default. Go back to manual connection window and connect back up to network manually.

IF all working good you can put it back onto automatic connection. Thanks for that Arch, good to see there are others who use very little also. We usually get shaped after 7 days on the bigpond one and use about 11 Gig more a month while we are shaped lol.

Unfortunately Telstra is still the best for wireless speed and coverage and knowing this they price accordingly. I guess we should all be grateful, Telstra prices now are a times better than they used to be in the bad old days.

We do a fair bit of research on whirlpool and believe we have the best set up as we can afford at the mo and it beats the crap out of dialup lol. For those with prepaid units that were already unlocked — could a few people post the first six or seven digits of their IMEIs, please?

It seems the unlocked prepaid units fall into particular batches. Knowing the batch numbers will help when shopping around. Went into Telstra shop this morning and asked them to unlock it. He rang up, and after 30 seconds trying to explain what was needed said — it might be better to get the customer to explain, and handed the phone to me.

I told him that I expected it to be free. He said sorry, call back Monday. Can you go to a different T shop? See my post up the page. It seems you really have to be persistent and insistent. Tell me, can T-shop staff find the number themselves from their computer system, or do they have to call the call centre.

It seems that possibly once you get referred to the call centre the likelihood of success takes a nosedive. We wrote the number down and double checked it. Mine had a mixture of numbers and lower case letters. Just to be sure, you have used the full three months?

There is no way to overcome that, at least I didnt manage to. The highest I got on them was about 4mbps using speedtest. They will tell you that they do not have a dedicated mobile broadband prepaid card and will point your elsewhere like T-Mobile.

It will show it is on a 3G network but you cannot connect to it. There is a way to circumvent that by changing the default APN to the following:. Does the MF60 support Mhz 3G? There is a way to circumvent that by changing the default APN to the following: Hi All Just wondering if anyone is having trouble checking there balance?

I keep getting a page which tells me An unexpected error has occured. Please call Telstra on Just wondering if anyone is having trouble checking there balance? Please call Telstra on same here for more than a week.

Yeh, I only just bought a Telstra Turbo last week and connected on Wednesday, and been playing up on the balance page for a few days, I found by reloading the page with the back button, and then clicking the link again it continues through to the balance info I purchased one of these from officeworks.

In fact they have changed the deal a couple of months ago — but 30 days is still not right. Up until then it was always 90 days. But then they changed it to 60 days — so that is what I would have thought it should now be for any device purchased since about start of November.

AIUI any device purchased before that should activate with 90 days to use your 5Gb bonus data. Have a look on the box. Does it Say 90 days? The it should be 90 days. I have an unused one and when I activate it I will expect 90 days.

Is there any way to check your usage apart from the myprepaid website. Currently my account has any error and says ring There is an expiry date of 07APR So I beleive I can activate it up to 90 days before the 7th of April and I would get 90 days.

I have recharged a second time, thinking that the rapid usage of my credit was due to an errant app or PC, so for this recharge, I monitored usage very, VERY carefully. With the new recharge to 3Gb, after 3 hours, 1 Gb mysteriously dissapeared again, before I unplugged and switched the beast off.

In that 3 hours, must have really used, say 30Meg. But the portal is telling me that I have about 2 Gb left, which is interesting in itself as there is a disclaimer that it can take up to 48 hours for some charges to be deducted.

Have had much difficulty getting any useful info from the mobile portal, usually it does not work and comes up with some error suggesting a number to call, and when it does appear to work, the info is incomplete.

For example , it will display 0. What type of devices are you using the modem with? Mobile devices like an ipad or phone, or a windows PC? One PC, a kindle and ipod, no torrents: After the last recharge, I monitored very carefully.

Have double checked for viruses. I get a download rate of around 9 Mbps, which is very roughly a megabyte per second downloaded I am now going to change the network name, password, and am going into super vigilant mode and do some testing.

But will give it shot now: Or I can only buy the prepaid Mf60 from Telstra shop, then ask the 16digits unlocked code? As I understand it up until about three to four weeks ago the unlock used to be free but that has now changed and you will need to pay for the unlock.

Hello, just search "unlocked zte mf60", you will get a lot of results that fit your need. Here are some site for you: If you want to unlock your zte mf60, here is a video guide for you. Does anyone know if the white device will work with telstra post paid sim?

For anyone wanting to look for the same batch the IMEI number is xxxx, expiry 12 Oct A call to the assistance number fixed the problem, with the expiry of the remaining credit set back 30 days from the date of the call.

I even tried it at an employees house who lives closer and it got bars, but was slow and frequently dropped out. In both situations my iPhone 4 had full signal strength, as did my Samsung C I happened to take it with me to eastern Victoria late last year and got the same result, I was so in need of internet I went to the telstra shop to get an external antenna, but the guy there told me if I am getting good signal on my phone and internet this device should too.

I ended up putting the Sim in my C and tethering it via USB as one of my employees needed internet from home. This worked fine, but the C is limited to about 3. After a month or so of good signal strength, I realized something was wrong with my unit when I was traveling and was getting 5 bars on voda and zero on my MF60 with Telstra.

After demonstrating the problem in a telstra shop they exchanged it for a refurb unit which now works took a week. Also the user interface is slightly different when I log into it too. I see a blue image of the mf60 and the my prepaid link now takes to a business site and wants me to log in to get my balance remaining.

My theory is the refurb unit I got from Telstra has been reflashed with something different in the firmware. Back to the Telstra shop where I got the refurb unit from. Would i like their address? I have a defective unit Telstra!

It will be highly appreciated if anyone can suggest something. Finding a USB WiFi adapter that will work with your desktop computer without requiring external drivers is a very vague question. However, if your desktop has a wired Ethernet port you could instead use something like a Netgear WNCE, which will connect the wired network to a WiFi network as a client.

Of course, you could use any WiFi box that offers client mode: Hi Athos, yeah my desktop have an ethernet connection, however they different operating system, one xp, one windows 7. Trendnet have an A while back I helped a friend use one to hook a desktop up to their home WiFi.

BTW, all these devices have the same case design: Worryingly though I cant get any connection with Vodafone or amaysim. What am I doing wrong? If so, how do I configure the thing to use this number? What I really want to do is use the thing in Europe later this month, but if I cant reliably get a connection here then I am concerned that I may not be able to get a connection over there.

Hopefully if you get the right APN it should connect with no problems. Similarly, Vodafone Australia only has MHz in a few areas at the moment. I just manually set the DNS server to I am wondering if this is something by design of this unit or perhaps something I have misconfigured?

Weird — very weird. Bought my unit at the begining of December Any thoughts on what these issues are? If I do a factory reset, will that fix the problems described? Will this also relock the unit? Not sure where I put the unlock code To answer my own questions — yep, a factory reset fixed the problems and also reset the network lock.

Is it possible to change the MF60 ipaddress to something other than The ip address option looks grey in my settings, so maybe its "locked". You should be able to change the 3G connection from Auto Connect to Manual and then disconnect.

Then the IP address field will no longer be grey. Yep, that partly seems to work. I changed the ip address to Seems like I need to do a hardware power-cycle to make it take this change correctly.

Power-cycle needs physical access, and thats not necessarily easy. We are light users, only use the device when travelling around Have done a bit of googling and that seems to be the consensus, thank you.

MF 60 has a digital display as well as a external anntena port, enough extras for upgrade for me. Who remembers the days of adding a car kit to allow you to dock your phone and get a better mobile connection? Not long gone for me, my brother was only getting 1 bar, I took the next g antenna of my 4wd and now he gets constant 4 bars at his home with a MF In all, mostly happy with speed, although my area now on the Gold Coast Isle of Capri has only bars which is pretty average being so close to surfers.

My current network was running off a netgear router as the DHCP server being the gateway Problem is i have a Netgear NAS on static As per previous post in this thread, you need to tell the MF60 to disconnect from the 3G network, before you can change the network settings.

Default IP is I have MF60 on Telstra prepaid plan. It seems impossible to find out how much data has been used so far. Can you use the data packs? I went to Jaycar and purchased a connector and 5db aerial as mentioned but was still only getting 3 bars of service and plenty of drop outs.

I asked JB for an exchange on the unit as it was faulty and they asked how many times it was dropping out. I now get 22MB down and 14MB up!! Outstanding speeds and 4 bars of service in a known excellent coverage area.

Although not currently available on pre-paid. Apparently all the 4G models have better aerials when in a 3G area. I got one today. It was such a hard decision for me. I usually go for value with tech and life , but made the decision to go with telstra.

So will have to drop in tomorrow to swap over. Took about hours to activate. And its zippy, with 2. I look forward to the coverage and speed of telstra. I feel quite assured despite the battery problem.

Its the blasted MF Was working just fine a week ago, dammit. What a time for it to die. You can check you balance by going to http: I have a data usage on that site set up for my iPad sim, how do I set up another one for my mf60?

Disappointingly, it seems to only want to work at the back of the house, and only this morning and my ADSL is back so I dont care, now. Just like the virgin mifi from a couple of years ago. The iphone is fine, the MF60 isnt.

With everyone leaving Voda in droves, it will probably work better than Telstra. I have a MF30 and a MF60 and for me, they have both worked very well except for the faulty charger. Have a look at http: Can I ask, would I be wasting money on upgrading from an MF30 to an MF60 with that antenna you mentioned, to get better performance?

I have an MF but want to go totally WiFi. When I upgraded from the MF30 to MF60 I noticed a big speed improvement about 3 times faster downloading so speedwise, it was worthwhile for me. I guess it would be likewise for you unless you are in a really poor reception area.

Can I just clarify. The 5Gb of data with the MF60 is associated with the sim not the device? Also can I use the 5Gb without doing an initial recharge? Yep the 5gb of usage is tied to the sim card. Just pop it in the 60 and will pick up with however much you had left when using the Just on the 60 I found it to be excellent.

Only changed as was able to come across an extremely cheap u and Nb16wv router. They are waiting on the 4G model to arrive. Yikes sorry my bad should have looked closer. Not seen any of the s there but I was happy to get a router.

It seemed to me that the heat was excessive, yesterday. Its just sitting on a table, not near any heat sources or anything. Fingers crossed, or back it goes for replacement. Another Q; given that this unit is capable of 21Mbps, and I am only getting 1.

Your line speed is kbps 0. I doubt an external antenna would help as you are already getting a fairly good signal. I reckon Telstra congestion could be your problem. I just started using one of these and it runs comfortably warm and no where near as hot as my MF I have 5 bars and an external antenna makes no difference to data speed.

The number he gave me was for the wrong department prepaid , which I discovered after doing all the verification bullshit. The second person I spoke to correctly diagnosed the problem my account had been inactivated despite my data allowance still being active!

She kept telling me I needed to recharge. I remember when I rang support for an online shopping issue and the support person asked me what phone number I dialled to get support. I said the one listed for help on the online site.

She said it was the wrong number. It actually improved reception for me, with it standing upright, rather than having the MF60 lying flat on the table. Hiw long does the 5gb of data take to be added to yiur account?

I activated last night and it still only shows the data,i purchased so i could use it last night. Google and you should find it. Works fine on all networks. Hektik Where di u get it unlocked from I tried to contact unlockguru but no response But cannot connect to the webcam externally.

Tried 2 Telstra Stores

Try it now or start here with the first question:. The iPhone 6S offers a Rose Gold color option this time, primarily so that users can match their purchase to an iWatch of the same color Innovation: Also, it introduces the 3D Touch pressure-sensitive display technology, which recognizes inputs based on how hard you press the screen.

Pros Compact and lightweight. Cons p resolution is relatively low for an entertainment projector. But I will make that back on my next overseas trip. Is there a possibility that you could post a receipt for this? Why would you need an invoice copy?

Is it so you can try to get another shop to match price? If you can wait i will be able to post a copy of the recipt on monday as i dont have anything to scan it and i am working straight thru untill late sunday night.

My understanding is that HN are taking orders at their stores in order to honour their catalogue. A note, activation to gets rejected I want to leave the computer in a remote location. The 3G modem allows me to access the computer.

It looks like I might need two UPS devices; one for the computer and one for the modem. Sorry for the confusion. Just that I found a website that giving away free unlock code for mf30 last time and I got one for my mf The website is able to unlock mf60 now just that the unlock code no longer free.

If you are interested, pm me and I will pm the url to you. Went to HN this morning to ask if I get discount for the mf60 and the saleman said no discount on mf They sold out the mf30 and claim new stock will be in store on 9th of July.

Can back order now. I spoke to HN Head Office today. It is a mistake, however if you get away with it good on you: Stupid morons at the Canberra HN stores who refused to honour or even acknowledge the existence of the offer.

Hey all, thanks for the tip. And what is the sale price currently? Anyone had any luck buying one of these on sale in the ACT? And the dude I just spoke to has no knowledge of the unadvertised sale. He was the last guy I got a good deal from at HN Woden.

This way you can just use 1 UPS. You are quoting significantly more words than you have written. Otherwise, trim the quoted passages down as much as you can. I went in there yesterday and tried to get the MF60 but they would not budge on the price.

Any chance you could send me a scanned copy of the invoice so I can show HN at Penrith? Is MF60 really a 21Mbps device? Just saw that telstra now have a new ultimate wifi device from this page http: They now claims that MF60 speed can only up to 8mbps which is about the same as MF30 and the ultimate one can up to 20mbps?

I will confirm when i go on lunch and purchase and will post a copy of my receipt for everyone: Being run by independent franchisees there is no obligation for one store to price match another store.

Crazy CS can you find out some indication of stock levels too please. She scribbled on the front and off I was to the cashier. Here is my receipt http: For Melbournians, heres my receipt: Thanks people for the heads up.

Picked up the last few from Harvey Norman Cannington Perth today. What a great deal. According to HN best price guarantee http: I got mine at Osborne Park, WA. The sale person refused to sell it at that price even I show him the receipt from fchicken at first.

I told him that many HN stores are selling at the price at the moment and HN best price guarantee policy mention they have to. I then want him to talk to his supervisor. They still have about left. My mate went to City West, West Perth for his.

Please note this price was offered because they run out of MF30 stock so they replace it with MF The half price promotion for MF30 will end this Sunday. After that time, you may not get this price match again.

So hurry to grab yours. When I rang through I made sure that the storeperson Clinton wrote down the details so that when I could pick it up next Wednesday — after the sale ends they will still honor the price.

I might ring on the weekend just to confirm that everything is still okay. I got one from HN narre warren HN Bennetts Green have taken down all their advertising for cheap and refuse to budge, because its now July 1.

No MF60 for me! The sales girl said they had sold out and that Telstra had discontinued them. She did however add my name to a list in case any more turned up. It seems that the sales staff needs to manually put the discounted price so someone may have no authority or not bother to do so According to the HN Catalogue the sale goes to July 3rd, so if they have stock, they are obliged to sell it for the sale price.

I picked up another one today at Noarlunga SA, they have about 6 left, if that helps anyone. I actually went there for something else. They have about 10 left. There are also some left in Moorabbin VIC.

Just ask for a substitution for MF Bought from HN Cranbourne Vic this morning. Stock records showd 5 but statff could only find 1. Picked up two on the shelf last night at HN Fyshwick. On the hunt for a quadband one now, and it seems voda will release one when their other units are all sold out.

I wonder if it is worth taking a trip out to HN Fyshwick then? Thanks for the heads up: Seriously dont do that. I had what I thought were some issues with the MF60 over the past couple of days.

This is in Lakes Entrance, Vic. At peak times, my Wii will disconnect from the internet about once an hour. Run Skype etc in the background to keep the data trickling though to help prevent this. Take a good look at the product in the link, now look at the product in the topic of this thread.

Post have the MF30 for sale and have an abundant amount of stock. Any suggestions on where to find one cheap, appreciated. Also are they possible to unlock without Telstra? He responded with "All the Telstra stores use the prepaid unlocking portal, it checks the Imei and returned a quote and asked for the payment number before it will give the unlock pass word.

I have no idea how a Telstra store could do it for free. If I manage to get a MF60 and put the bigpond sim in it will it work and go though my postpaid? I just went into a Telstra shop yesterday and asked for the unlock code for my MF60 which I got, no questions asked.

I entered the code in and then tried to use another sim that, after changing the default APN, worked perfectly APN varies, pre-paid works in fine in my MF RIP mobiz — 12 months and I think I made 2 calls and used 1mb of data — but it was there for emergencies!

Unlocking worked great using unlockguru Emailed him at wst and was unlocked by and using my Vodafone sim on a MHz tower. Just an idle question — does anyone know if there is a way to adjust the OLED display settings, so it stays on for longer or permanently?

Anyone managed to use a Telstra iPad sim in an MF60? I just ask, cause they seem like better data rates? When I login on I have tried on 2 different laptops with different display resolutions with the same problem.

Pretty good deal, now just have to convince Telstra to unlock it at no charge so I can use it OS in a couple of weeks! Really impressed; better than the crap Vodafone offers. Yeah have to agree — its a real quality product. And this from me who is no fan of Telstra, but credit where its due.

My advice — if you need 3G wifi and dont already have one of these — go buy one. If you have no luck go back to this part of the thread. Definitely not the battery — tested it in an MF30 and it charged fine Ofcouse it works with other SIM cards.

These guys must think we are all a little light above the shoulders. I have searched the Telstra website so far without success. I have been told it is 1kb but also heard it is 1MB a big difference. As I understand it, there are three answers because there are four different ways that average consumers can use data over their 3G network being a combination of 1 — is it a broadband data service or is it a mobile phone service and 2 — is it prepaid or postpaid.

Postpaid Mobile phones — data is charged in 1kB blocks 2. Prepaid Mobile phones — data is charged in kB blocks 3. Postpaid Bigpond data plans — I dont know!! Prepaid Telstra data plans — I believe data is charged in 1Mb blocks.

I have unlocked my device and now in the settings it shows the network provider being 3Telstra. Thanks for checking that for me. It turned out to be the sim card. I am using a Telstra post paid sim. I swapped to another sim and now I get Telstra showing up.

Main reason for needing this feature was, I was checking out some prepaid data providers in the USA for an upcoming trip. One of them indicated that when you get a SIM it has a default password. When you ring up to activate it, the new password gets sent to the modem by SMS and you have to get it from there.

Has anyone set this up using a MF60? I think I found the software at http: Just spoke to Telstra. Even though the 5th dot point near the top of the page on http: Telstra Online Text Buddy is a quick and easy way to send text messages — from the comfort of your computer.

For more information or to download the application go to http: Hard to keep a connection to the internet. I always have good signal to MF60, but it seems internet times out. I am not letting it go to sleep. My Optus mobile has 3G and 4 bars of signal.

May be Optus would have been better. Hope that helps others. Can you assist with instructions on how to unlock with the prepaid unlock code? Once you have the code, simply insert a SIM from another network and you will be prompted in the web based MF60 software for the code.

Still bad ping but consistent internet connection. Better than the intermittent at Lightning Ridge as above. Do you still need to use the Telstra connection manager or can you connect via the built in web page? Will it disconnect if it is sat on a open google page for a certain time?

In regards to this device disconnecting when idle, what exactly does idle mean? Idle means no Internet traffic. All you do in that situation is drain the battery and recharge. I used mine on holidays recently.
